Original songs performed by The New Inventions and written by Chris Kennedy
The New Inventions are an Americana / Alt-Rock band from Canterbury, UK.
Starting out in 2009, The New Inventions have performed all over the UK at gigs and festivals. Their original music, written by front-man Chris Kennedy, combines influences from Americana acts such as Ryan Adams, Wilco, Ray Lamontagne and Joe Henry, with tinges of rock and folk artists such as The Rolling Stones, Mark Knopfler, First Aid Kit and Laura Marling.
They are currently working on a new album that is planned for release in March 2015, which explores a new musical direction for the group. In 2011 they released their debut album Bohemian Kicks, which was recorded in 24-hours at a local studio - capturing the essence of their live act.
With a great set of skilfully crafted songs, The New Inventions put on a show that's not to be missed.
